Leonardo DRS in Frederick, MD is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead all engineering efforts for complex projects on time and budget. You will review customer specifications, align designs to requirements, and coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and customers.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in engineering with 10+ years of experience, cross‑disciplinary expertise, and proven ability to lead a team. U.S.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Ability to independently lead a team of engineers to complete a complex project.
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts for complex projects on time and budget.
• Ensure design compliance with project requirements.
• Review customer specifications and lead a team to develop designs, including cost as a design variable.
• Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments.
• Communicate with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customer.
• Mentor and coach engineers.
