Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Sr. Program Director to lead the NYS Thruway team. The role directs strategic project direction, P&L, performance, and client management onsite in New York State with relocation assistance available.

The candidate will bring state government contract implementation experience, tolling expertise, and large-scale call center leadership to ensure success across initiatives and contract goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 12–15 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Experience leading state tolling contracts.
• Experience leading large call center (~700 agents) with KPI/SLA attainment.
• Willingness to relocate to New York state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss.
• Ensure contract compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Guide program direction and align milestones with strategic goals.
• Manage project administrative operations, budgets, controls, and HR.
• Lead staffing plans and resource utilization across initiatives.
• Support RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs with management approaches and whitepapers.
