Job summary

Maximus is hiring a Sr. Program Director to lead the NYS Thruway project, driving strategic direction, P&L, and client management. The role requires state government contract experience, tolling and call center leadership, and executive presence. Relocation assistance is provided, and the assignment is onsite in New York State.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 12–15 years in a related field; relocation to NY is expected if not already located there. A PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• 12–15 years of professional experience in related field required.
• Experience leading state tolling contracts.
• Experience leading large call center (~700 agents) with KPIs, SLAs, quality, and compliance.
• Must reside in NY or be willing to relocate to New York state.
• Experience implementing a State contract of at least 750 people.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the project's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing P&L statements to ensure targets and profitability.
• Ensure program operations comply with contract requirements and regulations.
• Align goals with overall project strategies and manage administrative operations including budget and HR.
• Plan and schedule priorities to achieve performance goals and milestones.
• Review reports to ensure program objectives are met and support with audits, forecasts, and modeling.
• Lead operational managers with mentoring and professional development guidance.
• Allocate resources and staffing across the enterprise to meet strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to define priorities, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Manage initiatives including budget, schedule, resources, and organizational alignment.
• Support RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs with management approaches and documents.
