Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Sr. Program Director to lead the NYS Thruway team. This role drives strategic direction, P&L accountability, and client relationships, ensuring successful delivery of complex government contracts.

The position is fully onsite in New York State with relocation assistance. The ideal candidate brings deep tolling and call center leadership, executive presence, and a proven track record of delivering on aggressive program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 12-15 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Experience leading state tolling contracts.
• Experience managing large call centers (~700 agents) and meeting KPIs, SLAs, quality, and compliance.
• Must currently live in, or be willing to relocate to New York state.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Project's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing profit and loss statements.
• Ensure program operations comply with contract requirements and state/federal regulations.
• Oversee administrative operations including budget, controls, and human resources.
• Plan, develop, and schedule priorities to achieve performance goals.
• Review reports to ensure program objectives are met.
• Lead staffing resource planning and utilization across the enterprise to align with initiatives.
• Support RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, including writing approaches and concept development.
