Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Program Cost Control Analyst to join our Mission Systems team in Chantilly, VA or Sacramento, CA. You will provide financial management, budgeting, and variance analysis to support multiple programs with a 9/80 schedule and domestic travel around 10% per year.

The role requires a bachelor’s (or related master’s) and experience with cost performance reporting and Earned Value.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related professional experience OR a master’s degree with 3 years of related experience
9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree may be considered
Experience with financial systems including cost performance reporting and analysis
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting)
Ability to travel domestically ~10% of the time
Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret clearance
US citizenship required

Responsibilities

Provide financial management support to programs in the NIC Division of the C&IS Business Unit
Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist in financial analyses (funding, sales outlook, cash forecasting)
Monitor costs and schedules on contracts; perform Earned Value Management tasks
Prepare reports to ensure contracts meet negotiated parameters and government cost guidelines
Support audits, annual plans, and internal reporting (IPRS, Dashboards, BARs)
