Job summary

Valmont Industries in the United States is seeking a Master Scheduler to develop and manage the master production schedule, balancing customer demand with supply capacity. The role covers daily, weekly, and monthly planning horizons, with interaction across purchasing, production, and suppliers.

The position requires knowledge of MRP, inventory control, and lean scheduling techniques, with on-site work and a focus on continuous improvement and load leveling.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business or 3+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• On-site attendance and Lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Attention to detail and quality in work.
• Comfortable with daily exposure to manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years in master scheduling (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage master production schedule to balance demand and capacity.
• Review and release shop orders, inter-site orders and supplier schedules.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to release and expedite orders per strategy.
• Manage component, WIP, and finished goods inventory using ABC analysis.
• Report production and supplier progress and close gaps with action plans.
• Cross-train with schedulers and purchasing for backup.
