Job summary

Valmont Group in Valley, Nebraska is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop and manage the master production schedule balancing customer demand with supply capacity. The role will coordinate shop orders, inter-site orders and supplier schedules under MRP, aligning resources with demand and collaborating with Purchasing.

The candidate will maintain inventory levels (A/B/C analysis), report progress, and implement Lean scheduling techniques.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business or 3+ years of experience in related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• On-site attendance.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Attention to detail and quality in work.
• Must be comfortable with daily exposure to manufacturing production environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the master production schedule balancing customer demand with supply capacity.
• Schedule by daily, weekly and monthly horizons (2–6 months).
• Coordinate release of shop orders, inter-site orders, and supplier schedules per MRP.
• Align resources with demand based on capacity planning and shop floor control.
• Work with Purchasing to release/expedite purchase orders and supplier schedules.
• Manage component, WIP and finished goods inventories with ABC analysis.
• Report on production and supplier progress to goals; create action plans to close gaps.
• Cross-train with schedulers and purchasing for backup tasks.
