Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Valley, Nebraska, is seeking a Master Scheduler to develop and manage the master production schedule, balancing customer demand with capacity.

The role covers daily, weekly, and monthly horizons with a 2–6 month planning window, coordinating shop orders and supplier schedules per MRP. You will manage component inventory, WIP, finished goods, and ABC analysis, partnering with Purchasing to release orders.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in business or 3+ years of experience in related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• On-site attendance.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Attention to detail and quality in work.
• Must be comfortable with daily exposure to manufacturing production environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities and deployable production schedules with the Shop Dispatcher.
• Evaluate MRP requirements and pull signals to drive Purchase Orders for materials.
• Maintain planned scheduling parameters, lead-times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times and order data.
• Create a level supply schedule that satisfies customer demand with optimal inventory and resource utilization.
• Identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with material and capacity availability and order-promising integrity.
• Supervise changes to supply source and coordinate delivery with facilities and suppliers.
• Release items to coordinate delivery of material to Valley and other facilities; manage inventories and ABC classification.
• Review ECNs and transition to new materials and manage inventory levels.
• Summarize schedules and compare to production plan to ensure alignment with S&OP policy.
