Job summary

Valmont Industries in Tulsa, OK seeks an experienced Production Planner to lead planning and scheduling to meet customer demand and site objectives. You will develop master production schedules, coordinate with S&OP, and ensure on-time shipments while optimizing inventory and costs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience (or equivalent) and strong analytical and leadership skills. Experience in manufacturing, lean practices, and APICS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree with 3 years relevant experience, or Associate’s degree with 5 years relevant experience, or 7 years relevant experience.
• High level of interpersonal skills and analytical capabilities.
• Preferred: 10 years of progressive experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
• Certification of APICS.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ensuring safety policies are understood by all direct reports.
• Develops the master production schedule and long-range material requirements plan.
• Collaborates with the S&OP team for scheduling incoming orders and backlog reporting.
• Directs scheduling, programming, shop floor and shipping schedules and coordinates with departments.
• Monitors performance against production plans and recommends corrective actions.
• Identify and dispose of excess inventory to meet objectives.
• Provide direction and training for department personnel.
