• Experience in procurement and fabrication scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Determine assembly priorities by utilizing PDN systems and tools to meet customer demand
• Support cross-functional activities with buyers, internal manufacturing, sales, and shipping/receiving teams to ensure a smooth supply chain
• Primary contact for matters regarding fabrication schedule status or changes
• Communicate potential shortages to production schedulers, customer service, and operations
• Complete regular optimization of machine kanban loops for maximum manufacturing efficiency while maintaining desired inventory levels for assembly
• Perform capacity and material availability analysis to assist with labor and overtime decisions
• Participate in meetings to identify any supply risks and recommend actions to mitigate
• Apply continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement changes to the overall fabrication planning process consistent with continuous improvement goals
• May lead or be assigned to a special project team
• Share functional knowledge with others through training and mentorship opportunities
• Actively participate in LEAN and Cost Reduction Programs
• Focus on PDN metrics including (but not limited to) safety, customer on-time delivery, supplier OTIF, inventory
