Job summary

Parker Hannifin – Parflex Division in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Materials Manager to lead supply chain, materials planning, and production scheduling in a hands-on plant. You will oversee purchasing, inventory control, and data flow to ensure on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes lean principles, kanban, and data integrity, with responsibility for budget management and staff development. This position is office-based with daily plant-floor interaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years purchasing/materials management in a world-class, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with supply chain systems including JIT, MRPII, cellular manufacturing.
• Four-year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management.
• Analytical and technical skills to understand business practices and automation opportunities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft PC software (spreadsheets, word processing, databases, presentations).

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from suppliers to delivery.
• Lead production planning, shipping, receiving and inventory control.
• Manage procurement, supplier evaluation, price negotiation, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee plant's MRP and manufacturing resource-planning activities.
• Promote lean principles and kanban materials planning techniques.
