Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in operations, production planning/scheduling or inventory
• 4-year college degree in supply chain, business, or engineering
• APICS CPIM/CSCP/CPSM certification preferred
• Strong analytical and technical skills to identify automation opportunities
• Proficient Excel skills to analyze data and support decisions
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Knowledge of Lean and Kanban practices

Responsibilities

• Determine assembly priorities by using PDN systems and tools to meet customer demand
• Support cross-functional activities with buyers, internal manufacturing, sales, and shipping/receiving teams to ensure a smooth supply chain
• Primary contact for fabrication schedule status or changes
• Communicate potential shortages to production schedulers, customer service, and operations
• Regularly optimize machine kanban loops for efficiency while maintaining inventory levels for assembly
• Perform capacity and material availability analysis to aid labor and overtime decisions
• Participate in meetings to identify supply risks and mitigate actions
• Apply continuous improvement techniques to internal processes and systems
• Evaluate and implement changes to the fabrication planning process
• May lead or be assigned to a special project team
• Share knowledge through training and mentorship
• Participate in LEAN and Cost Reduction Programs
• Focus on PDN metrics including safety, on-time delivery, OTIF, inventory
