Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Material Planning Manager to analyze, plan, and manage material flow to meet schedules while minimizing inventory costs. The role reports to the Divisional Production Control Manager and collaborates across logistics and procurement to ensure timely material delivery.

Responsibilities include managing division inventory, reducing excess stock, forecasting production needs, and developing scheduling for manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in inventory and production control.
• 4 year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management with certification in supply chain management preferred.
• Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
• Must have advanced computer skills and an understanding of electronic processing.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
• Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprises principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Manages and prepares division inventory relating to records and stocking levels.
• Works closely with procurement to ensure reorder processes and timely delivery of materials are in place.
• Develops and implements an aggressive inventory reduction program limiting the division's exposure to excess inventory cost.
• Develops scheduling to establish sequence and lead times of manufacturing operations.
