Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Richland, MI, is seeking a Materials Manager (Production Scheduling) to lead the supply chain for a manufacturing location. You will direct production scheduling, oversee inventory and cash flow impacts, and coordinate information flow and asset management.

Work with Plant Manager, Buying IT and other stakeholders to plan materials, manage scheduling staff, and drive improvements in data integrity, supplier performance, and LEAN initiatives to sustain 100% on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum of hands-on experience in production planning/scheduling and/or materials management in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• 4-year college degree in supply chain, business or engineering.
• Experience in supply chain management, cash flow, asset management, JIT, cellular manufacturing.
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented for tracking data and resource management.
• Proficient in ERP (SAP preferred) platforms and MRP II methodologies.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency and data handling capabilities.
• Certifications preferred – APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM.
• SAP and scheduling software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead production scheduling department and manage manufacturing resource planning activities to meet sales objectives and on-time deliveries.
• Maintain data accuracy and ownership for MRP-related activities and matrix responsibilities with other teams.
• Own site/division materials metrics and performance standards.
• Define and implement automated systems to support production scheduling needs.
• Prioritize escalation requests impacting production scheduling and optimize resources with Value Stream Managers.
• Support VMI efforts with Buying Manager and assist internal/external audits related to Supply Chain.
• Ensure policy alignment with Corp inventory control objectives and lead Lean initiatives.
