Job summary

Valmont Group in Tulsa, OK seeks a Production Planning and Scheduling leader to coordinate production planning and on-time shipments. You will design procedures and maintain daily schedules to support site objectives and customer delivery promises.

You will partner with the S&OP team, manage inventory levels, and lead a team to optimize manufacturing flow while controlling costs and ensuring safety and compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• The incumbent should have a college degree and/or management experience in manufacturing, production operations or materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Develops the master production schedule, long-range material requirements plan and the long-range and short-range capacity plan.
• Collaborates with the S&OP team in the scheduling of incoming customer sales orders while monitoring, analyzing and reporting on backlog.
• Monitors and coordinates all activities between production control, manufacturing, traffic and shipping; acts as liaison between Project Administrator and Production Control on schedule changes.
• Manages and directs all activities of scheduling, programming & shop floor and shipping schedules.
• Monitors manufacturing's performance to the production plan and recommends corrective action to meet objectives.
• Identify and dispose of excess inventory to attain divisional objectives.
