Job summary

ABB’s NEMA Motors Division in Columbus, MS seeks a Production Manager who will coordinate plant equipment, personnel, and production processes to meet demand, quality, and budget targets. You will drive planning, continuous improvement, and safety, while leading a team of supervisors and shop floor staff in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This onsite role requires a relevant degree with 2–4 years of supervisory experience; Lean Six Sigma or PMP is a plus, and SAP/UKG/Workday/Kronos

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years experience OR Associate’s Degree with minimum 4 years experience OR High School Diploma / GED with minimum 6 years experience.
• Work Schedule Requirements: Friday & Monday (7am – 3pm) / Saturday & Sunday (7am – 7pm).
• Preferred experience includes Supervisory experience in manufacturing, Lean 6 Sigma and/or PMP Certifications, Shopfloor Display, MS Office, SAP/UKG/Workday/Kronos.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution: ensure schedules meet demand and inventory service levels.
• Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement: identify deficiencies and drive improvements.
• Leadership & Team Development: supervise and train staff, uphold policies, foster collaboration.
• Safety, Quality & Issue Resolution: ensure safety standards and resolve critical issues.
