Job summary

ABB, a global leader in electrification and automation, seeks an experienced Production Operations Manager in North Carolina. You will lead day-to-day production across multiple shifts, drive safety, quality and efficiency, and coordinate with engineering, quality, supply chain and maintenance to resolve issues.

This role reports to the Manufacturing Unit Manager and requires 5+ years in production operations with ERP/MRP experience.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years overseeing multi-shift production operations.
Experience leading supervisors and production staff.
Strong knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes, and metrics.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day production operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to optimize labor and equipment.
Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Develop and coach supervisors and production staff; foster high-performance culture.
Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
