Job summary

ABB is seeking a Production Manager in Columbus, MS to ensure efficient production aligning with demand, quality, and budget targets. You will coordinate plant equipment, personnel, and processes while leading a team on-site.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, safety, and compliance with company policies. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in manufacturing is expected, with Lean/Six Sigma or PMP credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years experience OR Associate's Degree with minimum 4 years experience OR High School Diploma / GED with minimum 6 years experience.
• Work Schedule: Friday & Monday (7am - 3pm) / Saturday & Sunday (7am - 7pm).
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing environment preferred; Lean 6 Sigma and/or PMP certifications advantageous.
• Proficiency with Shopfloor Display and Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with SAP/UKG/Workday/Kronos.

Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Execution: ensure schedules meet demand and inventory service levels; maintain schedules and timekeeping for assigned employees.
• Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement: identify deficiencies, approve improvements, drive productivity and quality gains.
• Leadership & Team Development: maintain fairness and integrity; facilitate training and enforce policies within Columbus, MS team.
• Safety, Quality & Issue Resolution: ensure safety/quality standards, resolve critical equipment issues with internal teams.
