Job summary

ABB NAM Electrification Distribution Solutions Operation in Pinetops, NC, seeks a seasoned Production Operations Manager to lead multiple shifts and lines, driving safety, quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience as Manager of Production Operations involving multiple work shifts and production lines.
• Strong people management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes, and operational metrics.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and quality management systems.
• Proven ability to drive performance improvements in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day production operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to optimize labor, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor production performance, analyze KPIs, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Develop, coach, and manage supervisors and production staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to resolve operational issues.
