Job summary

The Breakers Palm Beach is seeking a Procurement Agent to serve as the designated purchasing lead. You will collaborate with department representatives to identify procurement needs, manage the full PO lifecycle, and coordinate with warehouse and receiving teams to ensure timely deliveries.

You will negotiate with suppliers, update vendor pricing, monitor inventory, and help drive compliant, cost-efficient procurement processes across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, regulations, and best practices.
• Familiarity with vendor management and the sourcing process.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles.
• Familiarity with supply chain management principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departmental representatives to understand procurement requirements and specifications.
• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms.
• Create and issue formal purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
• Regularly update vendor pricing and catalog information in the procurement system.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage storeroom replenishments and maintain optimum inventory levels.
• Collaborate with the receiving team to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries.
• Monitor and track orders, and proactively address any issues or delays that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and company policies.
• Provide guidance and support to team members who need to collaborate with Supply Chain Management.
• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes and strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
