Job summary

The Breakers Palm Beach is seeking a Procurement Agent to serve as the designated purchasing point for the organization. You will partner with department representatives to identify procurement needs, manage supplier relationships, and oversee the full purchase cycle from request to delivery.

You will create and maintain purchase orders, update pricing, coordinate with warehousing, ensure policy compliance, and support Supply Chain Management to drive cost-efficiency and reliable supply for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, regulations, and best practices.
• Familiarity with vendor management and the sourcing process.
• Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management principles.
• Familiarity with supply chain management principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departmental representatives to understand procurement requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Create and issue formal purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Update vendor pricing and catalog information in the procurement system.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage storeroom replenishments and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with the receiving team to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor and track orders and address delays.
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and company policies.
• Provide guidance to team members collaborating with Supply Chain Management.
• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes and strategies.
