Job summary

The Breakers Palm Beach is seeking a Procurement Agent to serve as the designated purchasing partner across departments. You will manage procurement needs, create purchase orders, and coordinate with vendors, warehouse, and receiving to ensure timely deliveries and optimal stock levels.

You will apply strong negotiation, vendor management, and system skills to maintain compliant processes and cost-effective sourcing that supports daily operations and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, regulations, and best practices.
• Familiarity with vendor management and sourcing.
• Proficiency with procurement software and systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management.
• Familiarity with supply chain management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departmental representatives to understand their procurement requirements and specifications.
• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms.
• Create and issue formal purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
• Regularly update vendor pricing and catalog information in the procurement system.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage storeroom replenishments and maintain optimum inventory levels.
• Collaborate with the receiving team to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries.
• Monitor and track orders, and proactively address any issues or delays that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and company policies.
• Provide guidance and support to team members who need to collaborate with Supply Chain Management.
• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes and strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
