Smart Care is a national repair and service provider for commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and cold storage equipment. The Purchasing Specialist will source materials, products, and services to support operations, working with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and on-time delivery while keeping precise records.

Responsibilities include supplier evaluation, purchase orders, price negotiations, and cross-department coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in business, supply chain, purchasing preferred.
• 2+ years purchasing, procurement, or related experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Excel; experience with ERP/purchasing systems.

Responsabilités

• Review purchase requests and determine purchasing requirements.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and service.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders; monitor orders for timely delivery.
• Maintain purchasing, pricing, supplier, and inventory records.
• Resolve discrepancies with invoices, POs, shipments, pricing, and product quality.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Coordinate with receiving, inventory, accounting, production and other departments.
• Assist with contract, bid, and vendor-management activities as needed.
