Job summary

WeGo Public Transit in Nashville, TN is seeking a Procurement Project Administrator to coordinate procurement and contracting activities for the delivery of goods, services, professional services, and construction projects. You will work with stakeholders to ensure compliant, timely purchasing processes.

The role requires strong project management, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication. Prior procurement experience and knowledge of FTA guidelines are preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree in business administration, accounting, or related field strongly preferred; some college required
• Minimum three years of experience in procurement and contract administration
• Experience in purchasing equipment and services related to the transportation industry preferred
• Very strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Very detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement and contracting activities for goods, services, professional services and construction projects.
• Prepare solicitations, evaluate proposals, and select contract types to minimize risk.
• Maintain procurement files following FTA guidelines.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure ethical procurement practices.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure approvals per procurement type.
• Communicate effectively with department officials and vendors.
• Prepare reports, analyses, and procurement documentation.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
