Job summary

LATICRETE International is seeking a Buyer to procure quality goods, manage inventory levels and optimize supplier performance. You will collaborate with Planning, Operations, Finance, and suppliers to execute MRP-driven procurement plans and resolve issues impacting supply.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in procurement and a strong MRP background, with excellent communication and negotiation skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain roles.
• Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and data parameters.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in inventory control techniques and inventory management software.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management (35%): Implement stocking models considering demand, lead times, logistics and supplier capabilities.
• Procurement (30%): Create and manage purchase orders; track orders and coordinate inbound logistics to meet need dates.
• Supplier Relationship Management (10%): Cultivate relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and timely deliveries.
• Collaboration (25%): Partner with Demand Planning and Operations to align purchasing with production schedules and cash flow.
• Additional duties as needed.
