Job summary

LATICRETE International is seeking a Buyer/Procurement professional to optimize stocking, manage MRP-driven purchases, and sustain strong supplier partnerships. You will collaborate with Demand Planning, Operations, Finance, and Logistics to align production and cash flow while maintaining cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in procurement or supply chain, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication and negotiation skills to support ethical sourcing

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Finance or equivalent work experience.
• Proven 3+ years’ experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain roles.
• Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and data parameters.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in inventory control techniques and inventory management software.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Travel domestically and internationally 5-10%.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management (35%): Implement stocking models considering demand, lead times, logistics, and supplier capabilities.
• Inventory Management (35%): Conduct regular reviews and adjustments to stocking models based on demand patterns.
• Inventory Management (35%): Support inventory risk identification and mitigation with Planning and Procurement leadership.
• Procurement (30%): Execute MRP action messages and translate demand signals into timely purchase actions.
• Procurement (30%): Create and manage purchase orders; track orders and inbound logistics to meet need dates.
• Procurement (30%): Confirm acknowledgments and update stakeholders on order status and changes.
• Supplier Relationship Management (10%): Cultivate supplier relationships for reliability and timeliness of deliveries.
• Supplier Relationship Management (10%): Capture delivery/quality issues and elevate to management as appropriate.
• Supplier Relationship Management (10%): Support data collection for supplier performance tracking.
• Collaboration (25%): Partner with Demand Planning on forecast signals and coordinate with Operations/Logistics/Finance.
