Job summary

HDR is seeking an Area Business Development Leader in Michigan to coordinate HDR’s Power Business Development programs and initiatives. This full-time role focuses on planning, design, and consulting project pursuits with a strong emphasis on client development and strategic growth across local markets.

You will lead pursuit teams, manage budgets, and mentor BD staff while collaborating with market sector leadership to achieve annual goals and long-term strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years relevant industry experience.
• Self-starter with history of completing projects with limited oversight.
• Deep knowledge of A/E/C procurement of professional services.
• Ability to build and manage a network of clients and industry partners.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify leads to meet annual sales goals.
