Job summary

HDR is seeking a Michigan-based Business Development Leader to coordinate and oversee HDR’s Power BD programs, driving planning, design and consulting pursuits. You will work with local and national leadership to set annual goals, budgets, and growth initiatives while maintaining strong client relationships in the Michigan market.

Ideal candidates bring a long track record in BD within the A/E/C industry, deep client networks, and proven ability to win high-value contracts.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
• Self-starter with limited oversight.
• Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's procurement of professional services.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others.
• Build a network of clients and industry partners.
• Experience in sales and developing win strategies.
• Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability and willingness to travel to meet clients.
• Experience writing compelling content based on technical staff information.
