Job summary

Arizona Public Service is seeking a Manager of Strategy & Scheduling to lead portfolio planning for the New Generation portfolio. You will partner with project teams, Project Controls, Operations and enterprise stakeholders to align priorities, schedules and decision‑making processes.

The role ensures leadership has a comprehensive view of portfolio objectives, progress, risk and interdependencies to support effective execution and informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• Four-year bachelor’s degree required in business, finance, accounting, engineering or related discipline.
• Eight (8) years of experience in engineering, construction, finance and/or project management.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 12 years of related experience or coursework.
• Three (3) years of supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Support director in planning and coordinating activities to translate New Generation strategy into integrated priorities, plans, schedules and milestones.
• Build partnerships across New Generation, Operations and enterprise stakeholders to align decisions with project objectives and schedules.
• Maintain source of truth for integrated schedules and strategic roadmaps, identify conflicts, risks and interdependencies.
• Develop and maintain planning processes, governance routines, tools, standards and reporting practices.
• Develop and maintain portfolio-level metrics and executive updates for leadership.
• Lead high-priority strategic initiatives including sequencing and decision readiness.
• Develop and lead a high-performing team with staffing, coaching and succession planning.
• Develop and manage department operating budget and address variances.
