Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking a Portfolio Solutions Manager to lead the project management team, directing operations and change initiatives across a complex portfolio. You will oversee risk, interdependencies, and value delivery while aligning with executives and sponsors.

Collaborating with IT and business units, you will plan, resource, and deliver multiple programs, establish metrics, and drive continuous improvement in project management practices to maximize returns across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience with hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports.
• Project-related experience managing multiple concurrent projects (simple to highly complex).
• Experience with various project management methodologies, standard concepts, practices, procedures, tools and/or software packages.
• Ability to influence teams across divisions toward common goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Portfolio Solutions project management team and set direction for operations and change initiatives.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with senior-level management across functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business units on project planning, resourcing, and delivery.
• Collaborate with IT teams and external consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead in constructing project teams, charters, plans, contingencies, success metrics, and ROI measurements.
• Guide project managers and analysts to ensure adherence to quality and PM standards, and drive continuous improvement.
• Engage with sponsors, stakeholders, and executives to meet or exceed deliverables.
• Establish and monitor value metrics to maximize returns across enterprise projects and programs.
• Drive business value across all program activities.
• Plan, implement, and improve PM practices and tools to streamline processes and maximize operational effectiveness.
