Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH Company, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate maintenance activities across our cement plant. The role focuses on planning jobs to maximize equipment efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure safety and compliance.

The position involves indirect supervision of maintenance crews and direct supervision of contractors, with occasional evening and weekend work. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth across North America.

Qualifications

• Minimum technical degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar maintenance role in cement or industrial plants preferred.
• Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Knowledge of maintenance requirements for plant equipment and structures.
• Familiarity with EPA/MSHA regulations related to maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Plan, schedule, coordinate preventive maintenance, maintenance projects, and mechanical repair activities; provide technical assistance to the maintenance crew.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Attend department and plant safety meetings as needed.
• Plan modifications and improvements to plant equipment and structures to improve efficiency.
• Maintain resource library, equipment manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
• Support and comply with plant MEP guidelines and participate in MEP teams.
• Ensure adequate repair parts levels maintained by storeroom personnel.
• Assist in preparing budgets for capital expenditures for maintenance projects.
• Determine labor requirements for specific jobs and job planning.
• Develop and maintain Standard Job Plans; keep work history of plant equipment.
