Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Planning Supervisor in Colorado Springs to lead the material planning team, ensuring on-time production schedules and material availability for raw materials and finished goods. You will mentor planners and optimize ERP/MRP-driven processes in a dynamic aerospace environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field and 5+ years in operations, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
5+ years of experience in operations or related field.
In absence of degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise the material planning team to ensure timely and accurate material requisition and scheduling.
Assist in reviewing and approving quantities, schedules, and parts lists.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align material requirements with production needs.
Monitor inventory levels and address potential shortages.
Maintain process documentation and support training efforts for the material planning team.
Identify and escalate material and scheduling issues to prevent production disruptions.
Support the development of raw material and scheduling requirements based on production schedules.
Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage inventory, procurement, and production planning activities.
Assist in analyzing KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
