Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Colorado Springs seeks an entry-level Material Planner I to ensure smooth material flow across the product lifecycle and collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering teams.

You will gain hands-on experience with MBOM reviews, MRP systems, and order processing while supporting production schedules in a hybrid office environment. A bachelor's degree in a related field and exposure to ERP/MRP are preferred, with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent
• 0–2 years related experience; 4+ years in absence of degree
• Basic ERP/MRP system understanding
• Exposure to engineering change process
• Basic understanding of master production planning
• Familiarity with manufacturing drawings
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Review Manufacturing BOMs and maintain revision control in ERP
• Assist in creating/processing sales orders, manufacturing orders, and purchase orders
• Allocate raw/finished goods to meet production/delivery schedules
• Monitor material levels and report shortages or delays
• Support firm/planned manufacturing orders to sustain production
• Identify and resolve material/scheduling issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain schedules
• Develop and maintain basic supply chain schedules
• Use MRP systems to plan inventory, production, and procurement
