Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Scheduler II to independently develop and manage production schedules, ensure material requirements are met, and document production and material deficiencies. The role supports MST efforts across aerospace and defense initiatives and requires strong ERP and scheduling software skills.

Responsibilities include forecasting material needs, issuing work orders, and coordinating with multiple departments to keep schedules aligned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field of study.
• 2+ years of experience in a related field.
• Experience can substitute for the required educational qualifications.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Understanding of basic manufacturing/production scheduling techniques.
• Experience with scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production schedules and material requirements.
• Oversee and monitor production activities for optimal workflow.
• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and material shortages.
• Maintain detailed documentation of production and material issues.
• Issue work orders and purchase requests aligned with production schedules.
• Interface with various departments to ensure alignment with schedules.
• Analyze data to forecast material needs and adjust schedules accordingly.
