Job summary

CesiumAstro in Denver, CO, is seeking an Associate Manager, Production & Material Planning to lead master production scheduling, MRP, and demand/supply alignment in a regulated aerospace environment.

You will manage a team of Production and Material Planners, ensure on-time delivery, and coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality to drive continuous improvement while maintaining AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 4-7 years with BS in supply chain planning or procurement, including 2-5 years in leadership.
• Ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and meet deadlines in dynamic environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, material planning, scheduling, and MRP logic.
• Familiarity with aerospace/defense manufacturing processes, lead times, and configuration control.
• Knowledge of BOM structure, routings, capacity planning, shop floor workflows.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, planning parameters, and manufacturing documentation.
• Problem-solving with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee master production schedule development, maintenance, and execution.
• Ensure production plans align with capacity, labor, material readiness, and customer requirements.
• Monitor schedule performance and mitigates delays.
• Support engineering changes, configuration control, and production readiness.
• Lead coordination with Operations to level-load production and resolve conflicts.
• Manage daily/weekly MRP execution for accurate demand signals and material flow.
• Review BOM accuracy, planning parameters, lead times, and lot sizing.
• Monitor material shortages and drive recovery plans.
• Collaborate with Procurement to resolve supplier delays and material risks.
• Maintain data integrity to support forecast accuracy and inventory health.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Production and Material Planners.
• Provide direction, prioritization, and performance feedback.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support program success.
• Communicate risks and schedule updates to leadership.
• Support NPI, ramp-up planning, and operational readiness.
• Ensure planning practices align with AS9100 and internal policies.
