Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks a Strategic Planner – Level 3 or 4 to join the Strategic Development team. The role focuses on leading sector investments, aligning with strategic objectives, and coordinating with division and business-unit leaders in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The preferred locations are McLean VA or Redondo Beach CA, with flexibility for other major NG Space sites. Strong analytical and presentation skills are essential for executive briefing and ongoing program

Qualifications

• Level 3 requires a Bachelor's with 5+ years in Strategy, Business Management, Financial Planning, or Project/Program experience; a Master’s +3 years is also valid.
• Level 4 requires a Bachelor's with 8+ years in the same areas; a Master’s +6 years is also valid.
• Experience in strategic assessment, strategy development, and/or financial analysis.
• Proven experience creating executive-level briefing and presentation content.
• Advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Experience working with cross functional teams.
• Familiarity with space industry trends and dynamics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with division and business unit leadership to understand strategies, pipelines, and investment needs.
• Partner with NGSP CTO, division, and business unit teams to develop and recommend internal investments with data analyses.
• Develop investment plans addressing gaps in capability and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Communicate investment strategy to corporate, sector, division, and business-unit leaders via presentations and briefings.
• Support LRSP by conducting strategic assessments of financial plans and managing internal investments budgets.
