Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Strategic Planner at Level 3 or 4 to join the Space sector Strategic Development organization, reporting to the Senior Manager. The role partners with division and business unit leadership to develop investment plans and align budgets with strategic objectives.

You will prepare executive-level briefings, manage internal investments including IR&D, and drive cross-functional initiatives to refine the sector’s Long-Range Strategic Plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of strategy/financial planning experience, or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Experience in strategic assessment, strategy development, and/or financial analysis.
• Proven ability to create executive briefing content.
• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Experience with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with space industry trends.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to understand strategies, pipelines, and investment needs.
• Develop and recommend internal investments using data and financial analyses.
• Understand objectives and gaps to create investment plans.
• Present internal investments strategy to executives.
• Conduct strategic assessments of financial plans and manage budgets.
• Adjust investment budgets in-year and for future years.
• Maintain records of budgets, approvals, and opportunities.
• Support development of internal investments including IR&D, M&S, and B&P.
• Lead investment management support with cross-functional teams.
• Support digitization of planning tools like SIMPL and RDIS.
