Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Strategic Planner – Level 3/4 to join the Strategic Development organization, reporting to the Senior Manager. Preferred locations: McLean, VA or Redondo Beach, CA; other NG Space locations considered.

The role supports sector LRSP, investments, and cross‑functional planning to define future capabilities. The position requires Bachelor’s with 5+ years (or Master’s with 3+), strong analytics, executive briefing skills, and TS clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in Strategy/Business Management/Financial Planning, or Master's with 3+ years.
• Previous experience in strategic assessment, strategy development, and/or financial analysis.
• Advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and IBM Cognos.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with division and business-unit leadership to understand strategies, pipelines, and investment needs.
• Develop investment plans using supporting data and financial analyses.
• Communicate internal investments strategy to corporate, sector, and executive leadership.
• Lead LRSP development and budget management, adjusting plans as needed.
• Support internal investments including IR&D, M&S, and B&P projects to align with strategy.
• Coordinate cross-functional development and use of digital tools like SIMPL and RDIS.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure effective investment execution.
