Job summary

Happen Bank is seeking a People Success Director to partner with our Technology organization, translating business and product priorities into talent, development, and organizational health programs.

You will lead cross-functional HR initiatives, advise senior leaders, and shape the people strategy to scale in a fast-moving tech environment. The role blends strategic influence with hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HR generalist or HR business partner experience.
• Strategic thinker who designs systems, not just executes work.
• Owns outcomes end-to-end and communicates with senior leaders.
• Good judgment in ambiguous, high-stakes situations on sensitive people matters.
• Communicates clearly at the senior level and builds trust across stakeholders.
• Knowledge of applying AI to complex work with data integrity and compliance.
• Experience building new workflows rather than relying on existing ones.
• Strong HR practices knowledge, especially in organizational design, talent development, or performance management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior technology leaders to assess organizational health and translate insights into people strategies.
• Drive cross-functional people initiatives—from design to delivery—across the Technology organization.
• Coach engineering and tech managers on performance, career development, and organizational effectiveness.
• Design and facilitate development programs for managers and individual contributors in technical roles.
• Identify opportunities to improve how people work, including AI-enabled tools and processes.
• Leverage data and analytics to measure program effectiveness and inform leadership decisions.
• Ensure an excellent employee experience across HR programs and policies, aligning with company values.
• Serve as a subject matter expert across HR functions and evolve people practices.
