Job summary

Tempus AI, Inc. is seeking a commercially minded, strategic and agile Director, HR Business Partner to lead strategy and execution for our Data & Apps business unit.

You will act as a core operating partner to the CEO of Data & Apps, as well as their executive leadership team, guiding People strategy across the unit. You will manage a team of 2–3 HR Business Partners in a fast-growth environment, aligning people initiatives with revenue targets, product launches and market expansion, and driving

Qualifications

• Commercially minded with experience supporting revenue-generating teams.
• Agile, solutions‑oriented mindset in fast-growing environments.
• Pragmatic partner enabling business outcomes rather than policy enforcement.
• Leadership experience managing HR professionals or HR business partners.
• Executive presence with influencing C-suite and senior leaders.
• 10+ years of HR/People experience, including strategic HRBP roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to the CEO of Data & Apps and align people strategies with growth goals.
• Own health, engagement, structure, and performance of the Data & Apps organization.
• Lead and coach a team of 2–3 HR Partners in a high-growth environment.
• Translate commercial objectives into workforce and organizational design.
• Approach challenges with agility, speed, and pragmatic problem solving.
• Evaluate team structures, workforce planning, succession, and talent density.
• Leverage people metrics and business data to guide leadership decisions.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Development, Legal, and People Ops.
