Job summary

Tempus is seeking a commercially minded, strategic Director, HR Business Partner to lead the People strategy for the Data & Apps unit. You will partner with the CEO and executive team, guiding workforce design, talent management, and organizational effectiveness across a high-growth tech environment.

You will manage a team of 2–3 HR Business Partners, translating business goals into people initiatives, driving engagement, retention, and organizational readiness as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR/People experience in tech or business units.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to align people strategy with revenue goals.
• Experience leading HRBP teams and partnering with C-suite.
• Proven agile, solutions-oriented mindset with risk management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO of Data & Apps and align people strategies with commercial growth goals.
• Own end-to-end health, engagement, structure, and performance of the Data & Apps organization.
• Lead and develop a team of 2–3 HR Business Partners in a high-growth environment.
• Translate commercial objectives into workforce, talent, and organizational design actions.
• Approach challenges with agility and speed while delivering pragmatic solutions.
• Evaluate organization design and talent strategy to support growth and matrixed teams.
• Leverage people metrics and business data to guide leadership decisions.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Development, Legal, and People Ops to implement customized solutions.
