Job summary

Financeroles in Secaucus, NJ, is seeking a Manager, Payroll Tax and Accounting to lead end-to-end payroll tax compliance, statutory reporting, and related accounting controls across federal, state, local, and territorial jurisdictions for 20+ entities.

You will manage ADP and Equifax vendor relationships, oversee W-2/W-2c processing, and partner with Corporate Tax and Treasury to optimize tax results, SOX controls, and assurance in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of multi-state payroll tax and payroll accounting experience in a large-scale enterprise.
• Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory or team leadership experience directing payroll analysts or specialists.
• In-depth experience managing outsourced tax filing vendor partnerships (ADP) and state unemployment vendors (Equifax).
• Deep mastery of US Federal, State, and Local payroll tax statutes, withholding rules, reciprocity agreements, and unemployment compensation laws.

Responsibilities

• Directs federal, state, and local quarterly and annual payroll tax filings (Forms 941, 940, W-2, W-2c) through ADP.
• Manages W-2 and W-2c reporting cycles, electronic filing confirmations, and related reconciliations.
• Oversees cash funding, GL entries, and payroll tax forecasting and reconciliations.
• Leads audits, notices, and M&A tax diligence, maintaining SOX internal controls.
• Drives system enhancements and vendor management for Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll, ADP, and Equifax.
