Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a seasoned Payroll Tax Manager to lead complex multi-state payroll tax compliance and accounting across 20,000+ employees. You will manage tax filings, funding, and GL entries, partner with Corporate Tax, and drive system updates in Oracle HCM Cloud.

Strong leadership and vendor management are essential for this strategic role. The role requires 7–10 years in payroll tax, supervisory experience, and expertise with ADP/Equifax outsourcing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10 years of multi-state payroll tax and payroll accounting experience.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience directing payroll analysts.
• Experience managing outsourced tax filing vendors (ADP, Equifax).

Responsibilities

• Direct federal, state, and local quarterly/annual payroll tax filings.
• Manage payroll tax funding and GL journal entries.
• Collaborate with Corporate Tax on credits and filings.
• Oversee Oracle HCM Cloud payroll systems updates and patches.
• Lead audit defense and notices resolution for payroll taxes.
• Guide payroll tax integration during mergers and acquisitions.
