Job summary

Carney, Sandoe & Associates has partnered with an independent school in Brooklyn, NY to recruit a Payroll and Benefits Specialist. You will oversee all payroll activities, benefits administration, and related compliance, using ADP and the NY/state tax rules while maintaining confidential employee data.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 5+ years of payroll/benefits experience, with strong communication skills and proficiency in ADP, Google Studio, Excel, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• At least 5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Experience with ADP, Google Suite, and MS Office.
• Spanish fluency and HR certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll using ADP in compliance with laws.
• Enter payroll journals into accounting system (NXT).
• Respond to employee payroll questions and support ADP self-service.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and benefits administration.
