Job summary

Power/mation is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR team in Minnesota. You will manage accurate, timely multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now and maintain HRIS records.

You will also support benefits administration, leave management, and payroll-related audits, ensuring compliance and data integrity while partnering with employees and managers to resolve payroll questions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive payroll experience, including hands-on payroll processing.
• Associate's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or closely related field.
• Recent hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Experience handling multi-state payroll.
• Knowledge of federal/state payroll and wage-and-hour regulations.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
• Review time records, pay changes, deductions, taxes, and inputs.
• Maintain accurate payroll and HRIS records.
• Coordinate payroll around hires, changes, transfers, leaves, and terminations.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee questions.
• Serve as a resource on payroll to employees and managers.
• Support year-end activities, including W-2 processing and reconciliation.
• Maintain payroll procedures, documentation, and internal controls.
• Administer benefit deductions through payroll and reconcile invoices.
