Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Sales Representative in Scotia, NY, to manage a sales territory and build strong customer relationships within our Packaging Solutions North America unit.

You will generate profitable sales through regular in-person interactions, assess customer needs, and propose tailored packaging solutions while aligning with regional objectives. This role involves travel to customer sites and may lead an account team.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field or related equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of sales experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Experience in the corrugated box industry is a plus

Responsibilities

• Represent International Paper’s Packaging Solutions North America in the packaging marketplace and manage a sales territory.
• Generate profitable sales through regular, in-person interactions with customers.
• Assess customer packaging needs and offer recommendations meeting directives.
• Grow the business with priority accounts via Key Account Plans.
• Enable informed decisions with knowledge of business principles and financials.
• Identify value propositions with IP capabilities for priority customers.
• Create IP advantage by evaluating market conditions and competition.
• Travel to multiple customer sites/meetings weekly (50%+).
• May act as account team leader.
