Job summary

InvestedintheMission is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner in the United States, Virginia, Herndon. This role acts as a trusted consultant, balancing strategic partnership with hands-on execution, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or Business required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• MBA or MS preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3–5+ years as a P&C Business Partner.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the business to develop understanding of people and organizational strategy needs and design/execute solutions in talent acquisition, change management, organizational design, business process improvement, performance management, and effective communication.
• Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent optimization to support growth, restructuring, and program delivery.
• Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, calibration, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Identify and develop high-potential talent, support succession planning for critical roles.
• Coach leaders on employee engagement, performance, leadership effectiveness, and communication strategies.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations and conduct investigations in compliance with policies and laws.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulations and government contracting requirements (including ITAR).
• Analyze workforce data/trends to inform decision-making and proactive planning.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategies and workforce planning with scenario modeling.
