Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions' DC client seeks an HR Manager to serve as a strategic partner, advising leaders on workforce planning, employee relations, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.

You will align people strategies with business objectives, support performance management and compensation, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, while fostering a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; HR certification preferred.
• 6-8+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Strong expertise in employee relations, performance management, talent management, compensation, and organizational consulting.
• Experience supporting leaders in professional services, legal, consulting, or similarly complex environments preferred.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office; Workday experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to develop and execute talent, workforce planning, succession, and organizational strategies.
• Advise managers on employee relations matters, performance management, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Support compensation programs, including salary recommendations, market analyses, promotions, and annual planning.
• Collaborate with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and organizational change efforts.
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Recommend and implement HR programs, processes, and initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and the employee experience.
