Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to be the voice and first contact for our customers. You will use consultative sales to understand client needs and convert them into loyal customers, building relationships and selling equipment and services.

You must be ambitious and outgoing, with a love for calling on customers and developing opportunities in a defined territory. This role includes base salary plus monthly commissions and onboarding incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of sales experience.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and subsidiaries.
• Prospect and qualify new accounts from various sources.
• Collaborate with specialty divisions to promote cross-selling.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Develop and present company products and services to clients.
• Utilize CRM tools to develop a pipeline of opportunities.
• Monitor competitors and market conditions.
• Other duties as needed.
