Job summary

Genentech seeks an experienced Operations Manager and Chief of Staff to the Head of the IDO in South San Francisco. This role translates strategic aims into scalable operational plans, driving governance, processes and organizational effectiveness across the transformation program.

You will lead a cross-functional team, establish centralized repositories, drive change management, and build training programs including a PM Academy to upskill the organization.

Qualifications

• PM and Change Management methodologies (ADKAR, Lean, Agile, PMP)
• Strong stakeholder management and executive storytelling skills
• Ability to distill complex information for SMEs and executives
• High emotional intelligence and organizational change capabilities

Responsibilities

• Governance: manage work plan, governance calendar, approval workflows, action tracking to ensure leadership decisions are executed and documented
• Standardize processes and methods: develop templates and central repositories for audit-ready practices
• Strategic initiative execution: translate strategies into actionable plans and manage portfolio risks
• Stakeholder alignment: build cross-functional engagement plans across Design, Procurement, Finance, Site Services, and Communications
• Executive support: organize leadership forums, staff meetings and all-hands; draft executive narratives
• Onboarding & capability building: create training frameworks and a PM Academy
• Change management: champion OCM to mitigate fatigue and drive adoption of new operating models
